First Person: The Volume Fallacy' Can Sink a Small Business

Having been in sales and marketing as well as business management since the 1980's, I have heard so many small business owners maintain that they can make it up in volume as the justification for using price cutting to get more sales. Unless you know your breakeven point and know how to use discounting to upsell your new customer, you can find yourself quickly out of business.
